Crumbling Shack Photo by Todd Plybon
Todd Plybon served in the U.S. Army 🇺🇸 with deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan. In 2009, his Humvee struck an IED, leaving him with a traumatic brain injury, multiple physical injuries, and PTSD. Medically retired and unable to return to teaching, Todd struggled with feeling disconnected and without purpose.
Encouraged to explore photography, he developed a distinctive black-and-white film style, capturing abstract scenes, architecture, city life, and people often overlooked. Drawn to what is “falling apart,” Todd searches for beauty in the broken, a powerful reflection of his own journey toward healing. 📷
